In darkness and in light....

This morning as I was driving my oldest son to school, -it was and still is-very foggy out. I told my youngest son who was wrapped in a blanked and pillow in the back seat, that we are surrounded by clouds and that they have travleled all the way from the sky to help us get ready for spring. Next week marks the Spring Equinox, the first day of Spring. A continuing celebration of the return of light into our world. I am missing the morning sun as we have now lived in a blanket of wet rain, fog, and drizzle for over a week. The snow is melting, the muddy ground is showing now. All in preparation for new life to burst through. Maybe this is the time of year where Mother Nature is in labor, the darkness before the light, the labor before the birth? Spring time is birth. Yesterday I felt no energy, just exhausted from a weekend family celebration here and dealing with the daily troubles and traumas. But, I am hearing now as I type the first rumbles of thunder for Spring! Yeah! I  love thunderstorms! I kept looking outside for a truck driving by but couldn't find it and then silly me- I realized it was thunder!
